A brief radio transmission on a Uniden Scanner. (A man has been injured and three boats destroyed in a marina fire at Port Stephens, north of Newcastle. At around 9.30pm last night a 37 foot cruiser caught alight at the Soldiers Point Marina. The blaze then spread to a houseboat which broke free and hit a yacht that also caught alight. A caretaker on board the houseboat was taken to John Hunter hospital with minor burns. Sergeant Craig Sutton says seven fire crews and the water police spent four hours fighting the fires and protecting other boats. "Nelson Bay water police had to tow some of these boats close proximity to the shoreline to assist," he said. "Obviously we had to put boomers around to protect from oil and fuel and yes it was made difficult for all of the fire crews to get close and fight the fire.") Quote from ABC News.
